JOB DESCRIPTION:
Up to $97K

Responsibilities:
- Develop and install cost effective, operationally supportable solutions that meet complex customer requirements and SLAs.
-Maintain deep technical knowledge of multiple technologies.
-Provide implementation support of largest managed services customers, maintaining ownership and a deep technical knowledge.
-Provide clear technical documentation and written (ITIL & ISO9001) procedures to ensure other members of the delivery team can assist in monitoring, troubleshooting and changing complex customer environments.
-Responsible for direct customer communication, working closely with other central operations technical teams and customer service teams.
- Build and maintain relationships with key customer’s technical staff members and with internal stakeholders from customer service and field operations.
-Provide documentation and training to subordinate engineers to support complex implementations.
-Have a familiarity environment resources being utilized by customers. Use this information to assist in resolving environment issues that arise during deployment of new services.
- Provide assistance/training and leadership to other engineers.
-Perform after-hours installation/deployments as needed.
-Provide direct operational support (during implementation phase)of largest managed services customers, maintaining ownership and a deep technical knowledge.
-Maintain deep technical knowledge of multiple technologies within a customer’s environment.
-Build and maintain relationships with key customer’s technical staff members and with internal stakeholders from customer service and field operations.
-Perform after-hours support as needed.
-Negotiate and meet agreed-upon project deadlines.
- Learn automated resource functions and terminology.
-Learn alert management platforms, functions, and terminology.
-Learn related product offerings.
-Maintain proficiency with the latest OS technologies.
-Provide assistance/training to other engineers.

Qualifications:
-Five to Ten years industry experience in a Network Operations Management or Network Engineering role.
-College degree preferred but will consider applicants with equivalent work-related experience with a minimum educational requirement of a H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent.
-Two plus years experience with Check Point firewalls
- Two plus years experience with Cisco CSS Load Balancers
- Routing protocols and related technologies including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, NAT.
-L2 switching and spanning tree technologies.
-Firewall, VPN and security technologies.
-DNS and load balancing technologies (SSL, Cookies).
-SNMP and monitoring platforms.
- Some hands-on Linux or Unix, Windows experience.
-Extensive knowledge of data communication concepts and technologies is required.
-Very strong customer service and communications skills (written and oral) are required.
-Strong network problem isolation and resolutions skills required.
-Must have the ability to lead and direct vendors to assist them in their efforts.
-Strong interpersonal skills are a requirement.
-Adaptable and willing to learn new technologies.
-Strong time management and organizational skill are required.
-Must have the ability to effectively work in a team environment, as well as independently or as a self starter.
-Must be willing to assist and direct junior technical staff

Preferred Requirements:
-4 year college degree or equivalent experience
-CCNP, CCDP, CCSP, CCIP, CCIE, JCIS, JCIE, or CISSP
